We did a major remodel to our Master Bath. Tile center was very helpful in selecting all items to be used. Our old shower did not use all the available space. The design increased the size of the shower. The job was completed on schedule and looks great. The cost was the lowest of the three estimates that we got.

I recently used the Tile Center is Gaithersburg to tile a wall in my kitchen, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I had initially visited another major tile shop in Rockville, but the service there was uneven, the staff seemed to have limited experience, and I couldn’t find the color tile that I wanted. In contrast, the service at the Tile Center was superb, and, with the help of the very experienced manager, Frank, I found exactly what I wanted. Frank has an excellent sense of color, and he quickly found several good candidates in the cream color that I was looking for. The one we chose turned out to be perfect, as did the grout that he later recommended. Frank’s years of experience really showed their value. For example, he alerted me that I needed to take into account the lighting and reflections in the room when I evaluated how a tile would look on the wall. He also advised me that I should wait until planned new kitchen countertops were installed before finalizing my choice of the wall tile color. Another company was scheduled to install the new countertops, but the area behind the sink had a mold problem, a problem that needed to be addressed before the wall behind the sink could be tiled. Frank wisely recommended that he treat the mold after the old countertops were removed and before the new ones were installed, as this would give better access. Although this extra trip by the countertops company increased their cost, it was the right thing to do, and Frank made a special trip in which he successfully got rid of the mold before the new countertops were installed. The installation of the wall tile was exquisite! This work was done by James, an installer who said he had been at the Tile Center for 20 years. As with Frank, his experience really showed! Everything was done with great care and lined up perfectly! I was simply thrilled with how the result looked! I couldn’t be more pleased that I chose the Tile Center for this project, and they have certainly earned my highest recommendation!
