This laboratory specializes in PCR, Real Time PCR and DNA sequencing for identification of human pathogens with a specialty in Tick-Borne Illness diagnostics. On three occasions my wife has been bitten by a deer tick; each time she took the tick to Clongen to be tested. In one case the tick was found to be carrying Lyme disease, and she was able to prevent infection by use of appropriate antibiotics.
