Have entrusted my pets’ medical care to Muddy Branch for over 20 years. They have seen us thru many routine and serious health issues. They are caring, knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. Highly recommend

We've been here for years. Great care. Easy to work with. Obviously cares for the pets in their charge.

Worst vet I have ever been to!

I have never dealt with a more dismissive, rude, uncooperative and unprofessional vet practice, and never was I bullied the way I was today by a certain vet named "Katz" at Muddy Branch Veterinary Center "MBVC". I went to pick up a prescription and get my pet insurance forms signed because MBVC wouldn't mail them to me or e-mail them. After having a prescription filled and after I had paid, the vet instructed the receptionist to remove one bag of fluids for my cat with renal disease. I have always received four bags to decrease the number of trips to the vet, but this particular vet said he wanted to give me only three, so I would call in more often. I agreed to the 3, but said I would not be coming back. At that point he changed his tone and told the receptionist to give me the fourth bag, since I had already paid for it, and asked me if I was coming back. I told him that I did not know, and I think this bothered him quite a bit, because I said it in a waiting room full of clients. So, probably in an effort to get back at me and show his clients he was in charge, when I further asked that my insurance form be initialed, Katz said that he was not going to do it while I waited. I could understand if I had asked him to write a report, but I was just asking to initial a form. I politely showed him where he needed to put his initials so I could submit it to my insurer, and told him that no vet ever made an issue out of initialing an insurance form. Nonetheless, he refused to do it. He told me (with the flick of hand) that I would need to leave and come back for the forms. I got very upset at the dismissive nature of the hand gesture, the tone of his voice and the overall rudeness that was being shown to me. I told him I had no intention of going back the day after just to pick up a form that he could initial in a fraction of a second while I was there, so he rudely said that he would mail it to me, and told me not to come back (like I would ever set my foot in that place again!) while he kept flicking his hand. I'm not sure why the power trip, but he was clearly on one and taking it out on me. I have five pets, I have been to vets from California to Virginia and Maryland over the past 15 + years and no one has ever been this rude, uncooperative or dismissive. It was as if he was doing me a favor and I was having to pay for it, both with my money and the way I was treated. I took the unsigned form and left, I'd much rather absorb the cost than be treated so rudely. My advice: steer clear of Muddy Branch Veterinary Center and a certain individual named "Katz".
