The sales pitch and negotiating the cost was irritating. It felt like buying a car. However, after enduring the sales pitches and patiently asking for a lower price, they gave me about what I had expected to pay, though a bit higher than others. There was a signficant delay in getting the doors from the manufacture as a result of a backlog.

We had Thompson Creek replace the front door to the house. We contacted them based on the recommendation of a neighbor (who had a front door and patio door replaced). Their rep promptly contacted us, made an appointment and showed at the appointed time. She detailed our options, and we came up with a choice that met our needs and budget. At no time did we feel pressured or that we were being up-sold. They told us that they would be out in about 3 weeks to install the door and a date and time convenient to us was set up. A week before the scheduled installation, a rep from Thompson Creek called and said that there was a delay in getting materials and requested a delay of 2 days in the schedule. We agreed to the new date/time. Two days before the date we received a verification call confirming when the crew would show up. The installation crew showed up on-time. They did the installation in about 3 hours. When they were completed, the crew leader had us inspect the installation and approve the work. They had cleaned up the work site and the new door to the extent that one would not know that they had been there. We've had a number of projects done to our house over the 30+ years that we've lived here, and I would rank Thompson Creek I would rank them as one better contractors that we have dealt with. We are considering some other projects and we would use them again without hesitation.
