Having been a client of Rocky Gorge since the mid '80's, my one crucial piece of advice is choose your Vet carefully, and stay with them! Yes it requires more time and patience, but unless it's an emergency, you both know each other, and you know they know your companion!

I am a long time customer of Rocky Gorge. For so many years, I found them to provide effective, caring service at reasonable prices. I unfortunately have to report that service has declined in recent years. Firstly, they no longer seem to do anything to save me money. They have become a company that is constantly trying to upsell and refer for expensive procedures. Secondly, it has become almost impossible to make an appointment with Rocky Gorge. My dog is currently sick and I am not able to get a "regular wellness" appointment until 3 weeks from today. But just to make that system a little worse, they also offer "sick appointments." To get a sick appointment, you must enter into a phone ringing contest at 7:30 AM sharp every Monday through Saturday. If a person doesn't answer, then you just have to keep calling back until they do answer. Once they fill the sick appointments for the day, no more are available until the following day. So I have a sick dog, and I literally have to chase down my own vet to beg for an appointment within a reasonable timeframe. Dealing with Rocky Gorge has become an awful situation. I'm going to find a new vet.
