We used Architecture Stones to fabricate kitchen countertops. Their selection is fabulous. We had a mixed experience with their staff. I would advise anyone dealing with them to be on top of things, in terms of making sure your questions answered and getting assurances that they understand what you want. We went with a beautiful quartzite but did not feel that we were given an adequate sense of what the final finish (honed versus polished) would look like. We went with honed, but when the stone arrived, the honing was poorly done—burr marks, chips, and a good bit of anxiety. Fortunately, the company made good by sending a finisher over to smooth things out, but it took two days, because quartzite is so hard. I wonder would have had the same experience with another fabricator. I will say that their layout person (who images the stone to make the most seamless joins) is fantastic.

Marcelo was very knowledgeable and helpful when deciding on what type of counter would work best in the settings. Very upfront with expectations. Installers were very professional and did an excellent job.

It should have been a one-day job. However, because the crew did not measure correctly, it dragged on for a month, with visits to try to install, and re-measure about once a week. The dishwasher under the counter was pulled out, but not reinstalled -- "not our job." We had to pay an outside installer $250 to come and put it back correctly. I wanted them to cut the price by $250, but because they had our credit card information they took the full price out of our account. I learned never to pay a contractor with a credit card.
