I write this the first week of February 2025. I would avoid MrB Cleaning if I were you. Monica has helped me for 5 years or more. She is good at accommodating schedules, requests and adjustments in schedule. She is flexible. She has a really good maid who has been with her for 13 years. I prefer her service. However, she has recently hired women who have no experience as house keepers and do not know anything about being in an American home. For example, Every time they visit, I read in Spanish a list of do's and don'ts to them. If I say it incorrectly in Spanish the head housekeeper corrects my Spanish... e.g. Don't run the vacuum over any electric cables. Don't touch the antique lamps. Vacuum under the bed. dust the top of the tall furniture. Don't put bleach or ammonia on the kitchen floor bc it is too strong. takes off the shiny finish. But the people she hires lately are from the jungles of central or south America and do not know how to handle things in an American home. For example, most recently, the new maid put bleach on a navy blue towel and ruined it. If that was all, I would not complain. My external hard drive has a note on it in Spanish which says "No Tocas" which means "do not touch". She picked it up, wrapped its cable around it and moved it which could destroy the data on it. She flushed something down the toilet and stopped it up. They picked up an antique lamp by the mesh screen, put their fingers through it and ruined it. they broke a ladder but Monica replaced it. Today, I cleaned my porcelain bathroom sink for the first time since their last visit and found that it was severely damaged. It originally had a smooth finish but now it is rough and pitted. It is also CRACKED. She had to use the wire pad for the pots and pans and really put a lot of weight on that sink to do so much damage. I anticipate it costing me in excess of $1500 to fix the problem. The porcelain sink cost $500+ and is located under a granite counter top. What a mess. This is the second maid she has sent me like this. The other one ran the vacuum over the cord nearly every visit and exposed the hot wire which dragged on the carpet could potentially start a fire. She did this after I instructed her at the beginning of every visit not to run the vacuum over any cables. When I showed her what she had done, she said she did not know there was a brush under the vacuum!!! If she lived in a hut with a dirt floor, of course she would not know. These people are unacceptable housekeepers bc they break everything in the house. And that is who Monica is hiring these days. She does not inform her clients of her change in business strategy which enables her to charge less and profit more bc she pays them less. How come the maid does not know that bleach takes the color out of fabric? How come she cannot read Spanish? How come she does not know how to use an American toilet? Monica's response was a that I should ask for maids who know how to use American toilets. REALLY?? This is America and every house they clean is an American home! When I complained about the stopped up toilet, she dropped me and refused to accommodate my request for two weeks notice. That was probably a good thing now that I found the cracked porcelain sink. I can recommend the maid who has been with her for 13 years. I would avoid MrB Cleaning if I were you.

Monica Balonique is very easy to work with although her crew doesn't speak English; They speak Portuguese or Spanish.
