GMD Construction, Inc., completely solved my radon situation at a reasonable price. I had my original system installed about 30 years ago and I recently tested my radon levels with a portable digital indoor radon monitoring device made by Airthings. I was surprised to find readings much above the EPA 4.0 level. I did some research and liked the presentation, information, and favorable ratings I found on the GMD Construction, Inc. website. I called the company and made an appointment. A representative showed up on time and spent 30-45 minutes surveying my basement and outside my house. The representative carefully explained the situation I was facing, drew some diagrams, and offered a proposed solution that he guaranteed would at least comply to EPA standards if not better. I had a great deal of confidence in his knowledge and explanation and I agreed to proceed. A week or so later his crew arrived to install the new system. Their proposal included follow-up radon testing in my basement and a first-floor living area by an independent company. At the same time, I placed my Airthings monitor near one of the radon detectors. All readings were significantly below the EPA 4.0 and European 2.0 standards. In sum, I was pleased with the professionalism in the process, the quality of the installation, and the results, all at a fair price.
