They respected that I only wanted to replace one spring on my garage door and did not make it mandatory that I replace both (although they said they couldn't warranty it then - which I was fine with). There was also no trip charge and a free estimate. The other company I tried wouldn't even consider replacing only one spring, even though they put the first one in less than a year ago and tried to charge me a trip charge.
