Their service was wonderful from the first day Hal came out to look at our chimney and fireplace, through the “delete” of our 135 year old brick chimney, to the install of the gas insert in our tiny little (coal burning) fireplace. They took care to keep the dust at a minimum inside the house while cleaning the chimney and prepping the firebox. They also protected the yard during the chimney teardown and cleaned everything up when they were finished.

Chimney Doctors have several good reviews so I called them for an estimate to rebuild my 100 year-old, crumbling chimney. However, I changed my mind and decided to tear it down and so advised Chimney Doctors. Despite canceling, Ryan McGonigal still agreed to stop by. He was very professional, honest, knowledgeable and thorough. He offered me a free chimney inspection and even dismantled my water-heater duct work to take photos of the interior and exterior of the chimney, top to bottom. He suggested (no pressure) that I have my roofer tear down the chimney just below the roof line and cap it off vs. a $6,000 rebuild just to vent a water heater ($3,500 install for a horizonal-power vent). At my request, Ryan even recommended a reputable roofer. We need more business like Chimney Doctors that are not out to make a buck. Hats off to them and Ryan. Give them a call for a free inspection!
