We were referred here by other clients. It's a high-touch fee-for-service advisor firm. Everyone has been very polite and it's nice to be offered a beverage when you arrive for a meeting. The advice given is solid but not much beyond what you could learn for yourself by reading Barron's or Kiplinger's. Our advisor is familiar with our financial situation but I don't think this is like the TV ads for other advisors where the advisor spends all his free time thinking about how one of his customers can best retire. A person who wants to make investment a hobby likely can do much better for themselves, but a person who doesn't know a Roth from a goth might want to pay advisors like these who can explain things and not push their own firm's products all the time.
