My new-to-me house was built in 1971-1972, at the very end of the brief period when aluminum wiring was used because of the high price of copper. Upon my purchase in 2023, the home inspector had noted that some aluminum was used, but the house actually needed almost complete re-wiring and a service upgrade. I also wanted some lighting updates. Jake from Nordeast did a very thorough inspection in order to give me an estimate that was reasonable for the extent of the work, though much more than another contractor who told me we could "coat the ends of the aluminum wires with an antioxidant for a few thousand dollars." The crew from Nordeast was always punctual, friendly, busy...and flexible. The whole job was projected to take two weeks, and they got it done in exactly that timeframe, sometimes with one-two electricians onsite, sometimes with four or five. And they came in on bid, with the exception of some additions I requested (wiring two new gas fireplace inserts; running coax cable). They cleaned up every day and left my house in better, safer condition. Their motto is, "Do right and just and fair." And they do.

Have used them three times. First, to install xtra outlet in kitchen for range and to change light switch, to install lights in 2 closets, to fix problem with outlets not working. Each time, staff were polite and did a good job and cleanup.
