During a cold snap our boiler stopped turning on — on a Friday evening, of course. The Boehm’s website reassured us they do emergency heating repair, and we were able to reach their answering service immediately. Not long after, we had a call from the on-call tech who explained their after-hours service fee for up to one hour was $350 (plus any parts). We have people in the house who are vulnerable to cold and can’t easily travel to a hotel etc, so we were delighted they could come out after their current repair job. The technician was professional, pleasant, efficient, and first tried replacing one part that turned out not to be the problem. Then he suspected a different part needed replacement, and that fixed the problem. We paid only for the second / successful part that was replaced. Worth noting that they install many Weill McLean boiler furnaces and that’s what we have, so it was a great fit for our needs. They stock many parts for those furnaces in their truck. We were disappointed that our HomeServe contract with utility company was not able to arrange a timely repair that would have been free to us under our service plan, but we were relieved and happy to find a great service provider in Boehm’s.
