I wear progressive lenses. I need a narrow frame, and like smaller lenses, i.e. <52 mm wide and <26 mm high. They don't have many frames that size, but both frames I bought (acetate and metal) are very well made. The prices are reasonable.

Purchased last order of 3 pairs. Assumed prescription was correct. Three months later when I returned to the Opthamalogist who provided the prescription, I had them check the lenses of two of the pair. The axis appeared to be off in both. Dishearted. I believe it's a generational thing, just my opinion - similar lacks of quality and/or knowledge on part of providers has been increasing. I'll just have to find another provider for eyewear; don't have the time nor want to get into the back and forth dialogues to get satisfaction. Since the lenses are ground in China, I have my doubts they are interested in fixing anything. Just my opinion.

The USP at Warby Parker is value. The frame selection is mostly variations on a few themes, but at their price, it makes other frame shops look like they're gouging. I've been to opticians that offer lenses from several manufacturers, which helps respond to an individual's needs or preferences; WP offers polycarbonate lenses and just one high-index option. But the manufacturing quality is there. The stores are attractive and no one in the store is curating your frames choices. You could try on frames for hours if you wanted to. Ordering is quick and delivery is quick. I've never had to bring glasses back for an adjustment. The bottom line is that you give up some handholding and some product options to go with WP but, functionally, the eyeglasses they sell do the job 90% as well as eyeglasses costing 2-3x as much at the regular stores. For me that's several hundred dollars. Good enough.
