We hired Signature for a big project in summer 2021. Upgraded old electric panel to 200 amps. New bathroom fan upstairs. Remove knob-and-tube wiring from attic and anywhere it was accessible. Add flush-mount ceiling lights in all upstairs rooms (15 lights total). Add ceiling fans in three rooms upstairs. Add lighting and outlets in upstairs closets. Add outlets, lighting, and ceiling fan to three-season porch. We would absolutely hire them again. One of the owners came out to quote. We walked through the whole house and listed everything. Quote was ballkpark estimates for each of the major categories. Pricing was clearly stated in terms of time and materials, without hourly costs for each of the two electricians. We discussed the likely range of pricing and costs came in around the mid-range of that. The electricians who came were great. They communicated well. They answered questions, gave advice, and helped us make decisions as the work was being done. Another quote we had was more detailed and specific in terms of work and price, but didn't leave a lot of room to modify the work as it went. For example, we decided not to add some outlets because once on site the electrician could see it would be difficult to run the wires, but other options would be faster and easier. Overall we were pleased. Plan to hire them again in the future for next phase of fixing up this old place.

The work was done quietly and efficiently. The electrician offered options and functional workarounds. Very pleased with the end results.

We were billed $65 for the trip, and then billed $125 for the hour it took the electrician to drive here! He worked very slowly. Took four hours to install a dedicated outlet for our microwave and three new ground-fault interrupters. He worked on existing outlets while those outlets were live! And he refused to use the Wallabot to help locate the wire in the wall, telling us it would only detect live wires -- we knew better but there was no telling him.
