I spoke with Abby Sunday night, 8-3-25, regarding one of our garage doors that was not opening. She informed me that Charles would be there the next a.m. between 8-10 the, which he was. I recommend A-1 Garage Doors with two caveats: firstly, confirm their service charge---and any service charge--- before committing. I had called four businesses that Sunday evening, and A-1 Garage Doors was the only business that had a person answer the phone. Secondly, Charles informed me that I would receive his invoice from "the office" rather than from him at the time of service. I like to know what our payment covers.

We had a 3-year old garage door opener that was no longer operating properly, and called the manufacturer for help diagnosing the issue. They said it was a faulty travel module and sent us a replacement part, but had no repair companies that could do the installation. A-1 Garage Doors was highly recommended on Checkbook and we called yesterday. Charles came this morning and with his vast amount of experience, he was able to reset the electronics in the garage door opener and make it work again, all in about 10 minutes and at no cost to us, not even a service charge for coming to the house. If you need garage door service, A-1 Garage Doors is who you want to call.

I recently had two homes very positive interactions with Charles at A-1 Garage doors. First home, I called Charles to replace the bottom seal of the garage door. After his assessment, he actually said it didn't need to be fixed (just a minor tweak). WOW, how honest! Second, I recommended the company to a neighbor when his garage door stopped working. Again, Charles determined that it was only the springs that needed to be replaced - not the whole door. My neighbor was equally thrilled with his honesty.
