My garage door opener was malfunctioning - it wouldn't stay closed, and I had to manually close and lock the door 80% of the time. I called A-1 and they said someone was in the area and would stop by before lunch. They warned that due to its age, the lift mechanism may have to be replaced. But Alex arrived within an hour, diagnosed the problem as a misalignment of the stop mechanism, and repaired it quickly. Flawless operation now. I hope I don't have more garage door problems but if I do, I'll be sure to call A-1!

I called on Saturday, the repairman came on Monday, first asking if he could come earlier than scheduled. He had previously tried to diagnose the garage door problem over the phone, but concluded that a gear was broken and would require a visit. The diagnosis was correct, and he offered a new opener for $700 or a repair of the old one for $500, recommending replacement. He replaced the old one and inspected our other opener free of charge, lubricating the squeaky parts. We are highly satisfied.
