I always had our Honda cars serviced at Brown's but became tired of going in for an oil change and being told I needed $2,000 in repairs. Always trying to pitch various major services. No thanks! Plus, they're rather expensive. So, I stopped going. Really too bad.

For whatever you go in there for, the person who handles your service always tells you something else needs to be fixed or replaced. This is especially true if you go in there for a safety inspection with the lifetime free inspection they gave you when you bought the car. Once I was told my battery needs replaced, I went directly to the mechanic and asked him to show me the battery's CCA indicator reading which says "good." I drove for two more years w no problem. Don't go to a dealership service if you can help it.

I took my car to this dealership's service department for a replacement of a part that was wearing out. They informed me of a discount on the repair that I wasn't aware of, and they completed the work on time. They also looked over the car for other issues, and they told me about two other problems I wasn't aware of that would be very expensive to fix. I took the car to my usual independent garage for a second opinion on the expensive repairs. The independent shop confirmed that the items needed repair, but they also found another problem that the dealership had overlooked and that would add hundreds of dollars to the repair cost.
