I used Academy 10 years ago to install our garage door but then just before Christmas 2025, the spring broke on our garage door. I called Academy and they were very nice and caring. They brought out a repair person on the 26th of December. Can you believe it. The total price for repair - replace spring etc and I asked for a new keypad/opener outside our garage was $695. They were great.

Academy Door charged $680 to replace broken garage door springs, which is $200+ above the going rate. The repairman disclosed the price before starting the job, and I only agreed to pay because I had waited all morning for him to arrive and couldn't afford to waste the rest of the day or more waiting for another company. I had previously used this company more than 7 years ago to replace the springs and install a new door opener. As a returning customer, I was shocked to be gouged. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Academy!!!
