Great result with meticulous detail to our master bedroom bath renovation! My husband and I looked at multiple companies to renovate our 12-year-old master bathroom which needed to be stripped to the foundation, the addition of grab bars for safety, and the preservation and repair of our two-person whirlpool tub. This was no small feat! My husband and I are demanding customers who ensure our expectations are met and we were about to take multiple trips during the proposed renovation schedule. We reviewed multiple contractors who didn’t have the selection of high-quality materials that Virginia Kitchen and Bath (VKB) had. One contractor wanted to use green board behind our shower area! VKB were the only ones who provided a detailed vision of what was possible with completion of the job to our satisfaction, on time, and within the agreed-upon budget. The process started with what I called the Batman and Robin intake team---Leon and Bo. On multiple, long sessions, they worked with us for selection of various items such as the faucets, tile, and countertop. Bo is an amazing interior designer, who took great care to match and coordinate the colors and fixtures throughout our bathroom. Bo provided a visualization model that allowed my husband and I to see what the finished product would look like, including when we made changes to the design. Leon is a technical expert who we consulted on the requirements such as the water pressure of the showers. Berat, our project manager, managed the scheduled, and solved the bumps we came across, including our need for a more experienced crew early on, coordinating another countertop selection as the original one was on back order, and the replacement of a damaged shower door. Our expert work crew, headed by Alijandro, allowed us to provide daily feedback. Alijandro solved any obstacles encountered, including dealing with our older shower construction and the whirlpool rub that required repair of a water leak. The crew worked tirelessly and used a” tent” to ensure minimal dust and a clean area at the end of the day. With an eye on the future, Alijandro even installed a tile trap door on our whirlpool that could be opened to work on the plumbing for any repairs or improvements needed in the future! Our master bedroom bath came out even better than we hoped for. We would definitely recommend them again, particularly if you are a discerning, demanding customer!

Overall, we’re happy with the result. We first met with their designer. He was one of the only ones who walked in our house and asked, what would you like. He was very responsive and informative. He drew up a plan and wrote up a detailed contract. After we accepted, we were handed off to their Project Manager. He handled the day to day of our project. He was responsive and available. The crew who worked in our house were professional and diligent. They were punctual and tidied up after each day. Our project had issues and challenges come up, that we expected because renovation work always does, and the PM and crew handled them well. I will add that we feel it is important to stay aware and involved with the work being done. When we had questions, they were always answered professionally and there was never any resistance. None of our challenges required a change order and the overall price we paid was the exact price we contracted for. We would use Virginia Kitchen and Bath again and we have recommended them to our friends and neighbors.
