I reached out to Joe to re-install some cabinet doors in my home office. I removed the cabinet doors as part of a painting project, and unfortunately I failed to number them, meaning I couldn't remember which doors went on which cabinet face. I also painted the old hinges which didn't help their function given how old they were. Based on his reviews, I reached out to Joe ,and after sending him a few photos, he was pretty sure he could help. Joe came out early (as discussed) and evaluated the situation. He took some detailed measurements and was able to discern which doors went where. He then evaluated the hinges and noted that the spring mechanism warranted replacement (meaning I should just replace the entire hinge). Joe then took a trip to the HarDware store and found suitable replacements. The job sounds simple, but it was actually quite a bit of work. The new hinges required a little finessing but Joe was able to get the doors to fit perfectly. Everything is aligned in the same plane and looks true. Joe charged me a very fair rate and I will be reaching out to him for all of my carpentry needs going forward. Finally, I also want to point out how much I enjoyed meeting Joe personally. Not only is he a great carpenter, but he also seems like a great guy. I would call him "old school" in the sense that he treated me and my property with respect, was friendly, and made sure I was satisfied before calling it a day. Highest recommendation.

We were very pleased with the work Mr. Cox did for us. He replaced 16 doors in our house, many of which required extra tweaking as the house is old and the door frames were no longer perfectly square. He also went with us to the store to make sure we ordered the doors and door knobs correctly. And he was on hand when the doors were delivered to ensure we got the right thing. All in all were very satisfied with his work and highly recommend him.

The forty year old house had a number of interior door issues - settling that skewed a door frame, a door sticking, a door with a latch misalignment, and a door to the crawl space that needed significant adjustment. Joe handled each of these issues quickly and well. Cost was within reason as well.
