We have a Speed Queen dryer and during the March windstorm that caused the electricity to go on and off a dozen times knocked out the thermal protector. The owner of PEACO was immediately responsive to our call and arrived at our home within the hour. He quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the protector. Within 30 minutes we were up and running. Knowledgeable, forthright and very pleasant service. experience.

This guy is a crook. He did not even move the dishwasher to analyze what was wrong. He wanted to sell me a new one for over $1,000. I found another repairman who said the problem was the dishwasher was not hooked up properly when it was installed. The 2nd guy fixed it, problem solved.

I was so relieved Peaco could make a same-day trip to evaluate my GE Café dishwasher, but I wish I'd held out for our regular guy. Peaco immediately recommended that we get a new dishwasher; that is, for almost $1,500, he offered to procure and install it within a couple of days. He did not examine our broken dishwasher, or take any of it apart, but simply diagnosed it based on our description, and this was for a flat fee of $95 (I had been quoted this and while higher than most, it seemed reasonable at the time). Then, the first "replacement” he recommended, which had a retail price of around $600 wasn’t available, so he recommended a pricier model, by about $200. Let’s do the math: if we err on the expensive side, the retail value of the appliance was $900 (something I would never buy because better, cheaper models are available); delivery and installation was included in Peaco’s price. So, again erring on the expensive side, what accounts for the approximately $600? Delivery, parts and labor? I doubt it. Never mind that Peaco wanted to charge a cancellation fee for something we did not contract for. Clearly, this company has some suspicious practices. Next time, I'll wait for my regular guy; the hassle of dealing with Peaco was a terrible experience.
