We will not be using Home Depot again for home projects, especially not this store. (I understand that performance can vary widely from store to store, but I think we're just done completely with them after this very frustrating experience.) All we wanted was a replacement basement door, but the opening was not a standard size. Every step of the process was either annoying or painful, except for the final installation, which was done beautifully. There were many, many options for a custom door, all made on the computer screen with very small typefaces, and we had to keep asking the sales person to slow down so we could understand what we were choosing. After our initial store visit, getting a sales person on the phone to confirm the order was impossible. Even with a second visit to the store to confirm and pay for the order and with on-site measurements made by Home Depot's own local partner installer, they ordered the wrong size door. After a week or two passed beyond the estimate they gave us for the second door to arrive, we had to call and call to light a fire under them. They always called back during evening hours when we were eating dinner and do not answer the phone. We ordered the door in August, and it wasn't installed until mid-November. Good thing it wasn't an emergency job.

Storm door charge was a "bait-and-switch". The initial price quoted was reasonable BUT, when they came to install the door, they claimed that my opening was "non-standard" which would double the cost. I did the installation easily myself with only adding a 1/2 inch shim.
