He never mislead us, always managed to come up with a solution, never up-charged us for a replacement item when he might work out a solution without a major appliance buy. Why buy a new faucet with you can rebuild the old one? Why replace a toilet when you can snake it out (which I did myself, after talking to him at length on the phone, and learning what tool I needed) and replace the innards (which was also an easy do-it-yourself project).
If all tradesmen were as honest as Mike, we'd be living in a different, better world as homeowners. A++
