Supplementing previous review. Front desk asked to call me when Dr is READY TO SEE MY SUPER AFRAID OF HOSPITALS DOG, FOR GIVING HIM BAD EXPERIENCES SINCE HE WAS PUP. THEY AGREED. THEY called me while I was at parking lot, I came in, dog shaking, Dr. took 20 min to see him. Previously, I said Dr B. was great, and I am sure he is an excellent vet. However, given that my dog is very very sick at age 10, I am convinced it is because of the multiple shots given on same day , first when he was pup, at different hospital, and then 3 years ago at Sprinfield pet medical center, Made appointment to check cyst on dog's ear, and potentially remove it. No one knew whether it would be malignant or benign at that point. So, surgery appointment it made for a week or so later. No one can convince me, that prior to this surgery , it was urgent to give dog the "due or overdue shots" 1-3 of them. PRIORITY IS TO KEEP DOG HEALTHY AND STRONG FOR NEXT FEW DAYS.Even though one of the shots was the few days overdue rabies shot, I do not think it was the end of the world. WE can argue state law, etc. but another week delay in giving the shots would not hurt. I believe, the spleen, and liver and other organs can only handle so much medication at one time. That is reason dogs in U.S. suffer with cancer and stray dogs overseas, live to be 18 years old, and they die of starvation not diseases.

This has been my vet for over 6 years. They are very helpful and empathetic when there are sicknesses or problems. They treat me pet as they would their own. The also provide kernel services to customers/patients.

I have used this veterinary hospital for about 30 years. It has gone through many vets and staff changes. The current vets are smart, helpful and compassionate. The staff is helpful and caring as well. I am very happy with their care and when you need to make an appointment for an emergency, they always manage to schedule your pet quickly.
