I bought my Camry from Koons and have had them service it. After I left the car for a periodic maintenance, I received a call informing me that several systems needed work. I declined that work to wait until I budgeted it. When I picked up the car, I received a condition checkoff report. That report rated those systems as in good condition. I interpreted the discrepancy as indicating that either the service advisor who called me lied as to what the car needed or that the mechanic falsely reported the systems as in good condition. As they've lost my trust, I cannot recommend them.

As with many other reviewers, I think the quality of service is great. My typical oil change, however, often leads to a number of other “necessary” services. Some of these are unnecessary; when I have pushed back, I am often told these service are not immediately necessary, but something “we should watch”. (Have wondered if compensation of service desk personnel is based on quantity of services sold.) Prices are very high but worth it to the extent the work is done properly the first time.

If you want to pay more money, you are at the right place. Here is my experience. My car's wipers are not moving so I already know that it is most likely that the wiper motor needs to be replaced. I went to Koons Toyota, the SA told me that it would cost me $172 just to look at my car. However, if I agree to fix my car at Koons, the charge will apply to the repair cost. I already researched the price before I went there, I know it is around $400 for parts and labor to replace the wiper motor. Given that Toyotal always charges their customer high price, I am expecting the final price will be around $500. After 2.5 hours of waiting, the SA told me that the total cost was $700! I could not believe the price so I asked him if there was any coupon or promotion that he could bring down the price. He said that the original price was close to 1000, but he had already given a lot of discounts to bring down the price to 700. I didn't believe him so I called other Toyota dealers in NoVA, it turns out other Toyota's price is around $500 to $600. It is a $172 lesson for me to learn that Koon's Toyota is dishonest and the worst Toyota service center that one could go.
