Property owners take a look at the underlying scores and not just the numbers of recommendations. I cannot understand how so many people could recommend a company with such low overall percentages! My Story: While new landscaping was being installed the owner of City Rain came out to my property to see what adjustments would be necessary to the existing system to cover the new plantings. Some of the irrigation piping was exposed so he could see what type of pipe we had as well as the sprinkler heads. We knew that we had at least one break in the system. After the plant installation was complete a worker arrived to do the repairs. I requested that when he had finished the repairs that he let me know so we could review the sprinkler coverage together. The worker did not have the right parts and spent most of his time at the valve box. He left and came back only to leave a short while later. I did not see him fix or replace any parts and was concerned about the mounting time (aka cost at $90 for the first one-half hour and then at $80/ hour). I phoned and expressed my concerns to the owner and he agreed to a cap on the expenses. However, when the worker finally returned he packed up his truck and said that he had to leave to go to another job and that I should phone the office. I asked him if the system was operational and he said that he didn’t know. As it turned out, the system was not functioning and I have retained a different company to fix the irrigation. Not only did I find the worker to be rude to me but the owner was not the least concerned with someone representing his company in such poor light.
