We had Ancora completely remodel our kitchen and 1/2 bath in 2010. They did an amazing job. I would wholeheartedly recommend them. Scott and Devin, the owners of the company, are very professional and trustworthy. They finished the job on time and on budget (they didn't come back to us for more money us when they encountered unexpected problems associated with an old house).

We had 3 bids on the job that were within 10% of each other, so we made our selection solely based on who we thought would do the best job. Scott had been a tenant of mine, so I knew he was completely trustworthy. Also, since Ancora didn't run multiple crews, I knew they wouldn't be multitasking and would show up every day (something I was concerned about with one of the larger companies I got a bid from). I knew they were honest and had every incentive to finish the job on time. I felt they would pay great attention to detail and wanted to ensure the client was pleased with the job, so my wife and I went with Ancora.

They estimated 4-5 weeks for the job. They finished the job and everything on the punch list on time. We added a few things to the job during construction, which they handled very fairly.

One of the things I really like about these guys is that if you tell them what you want, they will do it; if you give them a vague idea of what you want, they will work with you to flush it out and make it to your liking; or, if you end up trusting their judgment as we did on building a housing for our washer and dryer, you can say "make it work and make it look good" and they will. Also, they have a great sense of when to offer advice and when to let the homeowner figure it out. Finally, I live in an old home that is very out of level, but they were able to work around this and make all the cabinets level without looking strange--a serious concern at the beginning of the project.

We bought Thomasville cabinets from Home Depot. The cabinets had some problems when they arrived that Ancora did a good job of dealing with (Thomasville was also responsive, but by the time we talked to them, Ancora had already addressed the problems.). If you decide not to go with the cabinets they offer, make sure you talk to your cabinet supplier about how they will remedy any problems quickly enough as to not delay your project.

My wife and I are really pleased with the work they did and would use them again.
