There were several delays caused by the store, including cabinets not being ready and the store not signing off on our countertop installation, without letting us know about it, which caused a huge delay.
The actual cabinet demo went really well. He even preserved the old cabinets so that we could donate them.
The installation was mostly good. Everything was in the right place, and the countertops were very straight and level. However, we had to file down some cabinet edges to make the appliances fit and redo skirting that did not meet the floor properly.
An extra panel was installed that was not needed and made the dishwasher installation more difficult.
We chose the American Woodmark cabinets, and they are beautiful, function very well, and offered a variety of styles that met nearly every need we had.
The actual installer contracted through Home Depot, Don, and his son are pretty good cabinet installers. They also did a nice job installing some additional floor tiles. But don't ask them to install your range hood!
