Only saw him because my physician was not available. Spent about 3 min with me and did not say very much at all!

Takes a whole person approach. Caught vision issue, helped with dizziness treatment, prescribes tests to rule complaints that could be due to serious issues, provides sense of partnership with you in your care

He gave me a prescription for a blood pressure drug; I said "What side effects does it have?" He waved his hand dismissively and said "Oh, this has no side effects." I stopped at the pharmacy on the way home and looked at the literature with it. It had a warning not to take it with another drug...which I take! I called and told him why I thought I should not take it. He was again dismissive; I had to insist on a prescription for a different BP drug.

He doesn't explain things, and doesn't like to answer detailed questions, just get you out of the room as soon as possible.
