While several services told me I needed a new dryer, that my present one (circa 1985) couldn't be repair; these guys figured out that all it needed was a new water valve ($95.), plus service call and labor, of course.

Ordering parts for a refrigerator repair takes too long.

Via has been called to repair my clothes dryer several times. In January & February 2024 they replaced a thermal fuse 3 times. In February 2025 (within a year of the last service) once again the dryer did not work and they advised that once again the fuse needed replacement. Although it was within a year since the last repair, they once again charged me for a visit (about $190) but would not replace the fuse without my paying for that as well (roughly an additional $130), which I refused to do. It doesn't seem to have occurred to Via that a repeated, frequently reoccurring problem must indicate that there is a cause, i.e. it's not just a fuse malfunctioning. So in all I paid several hundred dollars for a problem with no assurance that it would not reoccur again shortly. I decided to just buy a new drier, and not of the brands that Via purports to repair.
