I hired them to move me in 2025 because I had a good experience when they moved me in 2015. Unfortunately, that was not the case in 2025. The estimator was very nice, but she underestimated the packing charges by almost half. The movers did not wrap my furniture, and I have discovered numerous gouges in the wood. They broke off the leg on one of my tables and overextended the front door, breaking the closer and causing me to have it replaced and the holes in the door patched where the closer screws were pulled out. The movers argued among themselves and put boxes in the wrong rooms despite me being present and available. It was a large move, so I tipped them 25%. The lead mover acted displeased that the amount wasn't higher -- he complained that it was a large move. I confess that I never complained to the owners of the company. Moving is overwhelming, and I no longer have receipts for furniture I purchased 30+ years ago. I'm not sure other moving companies would be any better.

I used Town & Country's Move Management Division for a major downsizing. They were able to plan what Items would fit in the new and much smaller space, and worked with me to figure out how to best to dispose of the rest (some actionable, some donatable, some trash). These people people are truly professional and handled the downsizing process and physical move smoothly. They are not inexpensive, but they were up-front about costs and I felt their charges were warranted by their service I would definitely use T+C again.
