At the end of 2025, I had a contractor replace my roof, both to increase the insulation (it was built in 1951 with a shingled tongue and groove roof, no insulation) and to fix a occasional leak along the transition between the shingled roof and the membrane roof on an attached garage installed in 2007. However, the roof continued to leak after heavy and prolonged rains, so I contacted three contractors to help develop a solution to the recurring problem. Two contractors responded with proposals and estimates. The first to respond estimated the cost to replace the membrane roof over the garage and repair/replacement of about half of the shingled roof at $30,000. To do similar work, Perma-Roof proposed a fee of $4700. Because of the similarity in work for both proposals, I decided to go with Perma-Roof. In brief, Perma-Roof identified several options to resolve the leak while replacing the membrane (showing signs of age) and redoing part of the shingle with varying prices. I went with the cheapest option that we agreed would meet my needs for the next few decades. The work crew showed up on the date agreed and completed the work in two days. The crew was pleasant and competent: The new roof looks perfect and with the new reflective surface (light gray vs. the original black) and new aluminum siding around the roof, I expect it to perform much better than the previous work. The crew was efficient and cleaned the whole area, including debris removal, before departing. I could not be happier and 100% recommend Perma-Roof, especially to anyone that has or wants to install a membrane roof. The cost was thousands less than I'd expected, and I believe the new roof will potentially outlast me!

The primary drawback is that this company is difficult to get in touch with. Once you get them, the quality of their work is great.

Great work and very competitive pricing. We got a great deal replacing our townhouse roof. Tom was easy to work with. Work was done promptly. They left a few nails on my deck but not a big deal. Would recommend Perma-Roof.
