It wasn’t so much the staff- some of them were very caring and effective. It was the management. Mom was there for 2 years, and management was rude - the director of the place, John, was texting during a meeting with my family - he barely spoke to us and was on his cell almost the whole time. They refused to create a care plan for Mom, saying “we have one care plan we use for everyone ...” We put Mom there based on a basic assumption of care that we discussed, which they agreed to, but they did not give her that level of care (it was simply to take her to the restroom every three hours during waking hours). She developed a sore on her foot that we didn’t know about - it caused her to fall and break her leg - then they told us she could not come back after her hospital stay because she’d need too much care. We found blood on her sheets where her feet had been, in the assisted living - proof of the sore on her foot. Stay away from this place!!
