Greetings, In July of 2025 I reached out to Ion Solar to get solar panels on the south facing roof of our house. We just had the roof replaced. We had our neighbors’ trees cut back to totally expose our southern facing roof and I wanted to cash in on the tax credit for solar that expired at the end of the year, Ion Solar strung me along for several months, until November when I said “if you can’t get me installed by the end of the year stop calling me.” They stopped calling until February when a scheduler called. We said we were still interested and they sent a salesperson Jessica Quinton, Jessica is very nice, my wife and I liked her and we signed up. Ion, working on old google earth pictures, sent the layout plan with 13 panels. A row of 9 panels and a row of 4 panels. I reached out and asked them to make it 2 rows of 9 panels because the initial plan looked stupid. They sent Jessica back out to verify the exposure of our roof and she agreed, 5 more panels would work. We signed off on all the paperwork and we got an install date of 07/14/2026, on Friday the 10th the Ion employee who had been calling me every week to update us, told me one of their employees got injured and they wouldn’t be able to honor the install date, He would do his best to switch things around and would call us back on Monday. My wife got a text from “Russ” at 8:37 Monday morning the text said “Due to a scheduling issue with “the utility” they can’t install tomorrow, Suddenly no one can answer their phone. Jessica did call me back and said she would try to find out what went wrong. I had a fall in late April, I broke a rib and am enjoying a compound fracture of my L4 vertibrae. Ion sent someone to look at the electric service panel in the basement, he didn’t like the enormous workbench mounted under the panel and he thought the panel should be replaced. Ion reached out after his inspection and wanted to send a contractor out to remove the workbench. I told the contractor I had removed the workbench. Ion called and insisted I send a picture of the corner of the basement where the workbench stood. I sent the picture May 29th and heard again our install would be July 14th. My basement has been in disarray since, I am not happy with these folks right now.

Our adviser was very helpful to help us to choose the correct options, the number of panels we need to be installed on the roof. The process of installation was quick and provided materials are superior.

Seemed like a scam after further research.
