All of the California Closets (CC) projects (3 reach-in closets, one Murphy Bed, and a Linen closet) were exquisitely designed and expertly installed. Our designer, Olivia L., skillfully designed each project according to our requirements. She listened carefully, incorporated our suggestions, and offered professional advice to provide the best solutions. The large custom linen closet goes well beyond the typical linen closet. It is practically an art piece. It has internal lighting that makes the space bright enough to find items, or soft enough to create a cozy vibe. The guest room now has a CC designed reach-in closet and a queen size Murphy bed with a custom bookcase. The lower sections of the bookcase function as night stands on either side of the Murphy bed, with each having convenient access to an integrated electrical outlet/USB charging unit. Although designed for guests, this has become a favorite hangout room for watching late night movies and sports. Given the level of customization and detailed installation required for each project, every project has been worth the investment and wait time.

The communication between myself and the sales person turned out to be subpar. Turns out she left much about the services out of our initial conversations but was quite vocal about the promotion available and its deadline. I was prepared to sign a contract for a large amount. I was told that I could get a 3-D rendering along with the retainer agreement. In the end the rendering was never sent because I did not sign the retainer agreement. Something that was not stipulated in any earlier conversations. After 3 days of back and forth I terminated the discussion. I made it clear that I respected the time she had put into the designs and was willing to pay the amount she quoted me of the designs. She, however, decided that the cost of the designs was almost 100% more than initially quoted. I won't even started om the fact that it took 3 weeks to get the measuring done as she cancelled twice and I was the one reaching out for service. I was a repeat customer and was very happy with the closets that I had built in the late 80's early 90's but the treatment this time round was awful. My suggestion is to ask lots of questions about billing, retainers, deposits and timing.
