If you go to this company's website, which has the same phone number, business name and business location as the WCC listing does, you will see it is an unsecure website and not fully functional. It looks like a once legitimate website that someone has abandoned, but if you dial the number, you will get an answer from a garage door install/repair business. If you go to the physical Fairfax address listed on the website, you will see it is an apartment building. The tech who came had a New York phone number, and Maryland license plates on an unmarked car. The bill of sale said "Garage Door Service" as the company name, with an 866-812-9733 number, and no address. Call backs from whoever I reached at that number came from Northborough, MA. When I asked for the business name and license number they operated under in Virginia, they said they'd get back to me (they didn't). The tech didn't install what he said he was installing- long story short, I got billed $2000 to replace two torsion springs and both rollers...a $400 job that took tech maybe 20 minutes to perform. Turns out, there are dozens of ratings of this company outside of WCC that say this company is a total scam. I am convinced this is indeed a scam company, operating in Virginia and Fairfax County without a business license (I searched as best I could the Virginia State Corporation Commission for a Virginia registration, and called Fairfax County, who couldn't find a County registration under either name).

This was a perfect contractor service experience in every way. One of our garage door springs broke late last night (Sunday). I sent a quote request online around 10 PM. VGD responded within minutes and arranged to come out this morning at a time convenient for me. (They were ready to come immediately if I needed emergency service.) They arrived on time and completed the repair quickly. And the price was very reasonable. I can highly recommend Virginia Garage Doors and we will use them again if needed.
