This Home Depot is out of stock for items I want. Its very close to my home so I go there and half the time I have to go to the Merrifield location. I'm a Home Depot customer for over 25 years. I'm very resentful of their new changes to counteract thefts. Their power tools on display are Ziptied down. Its a waste of my time to try out the weight and feel of the power tools because of the zipties. If I want to buy the tools I have to find a staff person to unlock the tool locker and then be walked to checkout. The new checkout system records a video of the complete transaction. I'm not a thief. I've never stolen anything from Home Depot. I see no reason that I should be treated as a theft when I buy something at the store. Home Depot should have some full service checkouts so a human can verify that I'm not stealing anything and not be treated as a theft. I use my Home Depot Credit card. I've stopped buying power tools at Home Depot and now buy from Amazon. If I don't like the tool the return is easy. Also I have been shopping at the local Lowes which so far is not videoing the purchase transactions.

Staff can be very helpful but what makes the store special is the variety of very specific products.

Too difficult to find anyone who can provide advice, and often only one cashier. The address has changed to Blenheim Blvd, btw.
