I ultimately decided to use a different contractor. The sales person who came to my house to provide a proposal had without a doubt, phenomenal communication skills--I wish all contractors talked to me that way. He was patient, explained everything slowly and took the time to make sure I understood his presentation. It appears that Pond Roofers use top of the line materials for the most part (however, note that they quoted me the Landmark shingles vs the Landmark Pro which others presented to me--I assume Landmark Pro would cost more). Notwithstanding their stellar communication skills, the quote I received was almost twice the other 3 quotes I received so I went with another roofer. They offer a discount if you sign on within 24 hours, 30 days, but those quotes were still not comparable. If cost is not an issue, go with Pond.

Our experience with Pond Roofing was great! Frankie, our estimator, did a thorough job, explaining our options -- and his recommendations -- clearly. He answered all our questions, taking as much time as needed to do so. We have a somewhat complicated roof (with both shingles and a flat section). They did a great job! Great care and attention to detail. A manager/coordinator on site that we could always talk to with our questions or to get updates on progress. They were quite careful with all our plants and with their clean-up after the roof and gutters were finished. The only slight hitch was receiving several "welcome" emails, when what we needed were not additional "welcomes," but rather updates on our installation timing. Once we got them on the phone this was all resolved and the rest of the process went smoothly. That was a very minor issue, though; overall everything about their work and process was great.

Pond roofing came out when I noticed a leak around one duct in the laundry room. They inspected the roof, diagnosed the separation with the caulking, and promptly fixed it. They had also installed a new door at our house many years ago. Recently one of the two locks failed. Called them hoping they could direct me to a door company representative to fix. Instead came out, diagnosed and said 'we will be back.' Came back a few days later and installed a new lock - no charge! Don't know of a more professional company in the DMV. They stand by their work!
