My contractor referred me to Total Cabinet Distributors for our built-in bookcases. I will never use this company again. When he came to look at the cabinet area he took measurements which he wrote down. However, he never wrote down our other requests. He ordered the wrong doors and insisted that he was right and we were wrong. The project took a lot longer than necessary because some cabinet pieces came in the wrong color, which should have been caught before delivered to our project site. Our neighbor, who used our contractor, was also referred to Total Cabinet Distributors for bathroom vanity. We warned her to ensure everything was in writing and to triple-check what she got from them. Unfortunately, she had many problems as well. I have come to find out that our contractor is no longer referring people to Total Cabinet Distributors.

We purchased Showplace cabinets through Mark Miller at Total Cabinet Distributors. The cabinets are high quality, but they are not exactly what we wanted -- important trim we assumed would be included wasn't. I suspect Mark didn't know enough about the cabinet line to advise us that what we saw in pictures included extras he didn't realize us we needed to order. We made the mistake of paying for the cabinets when they were still in boxes stacked in the garage. When we opened the boxes and realized the issues, Mark wouldn't return calls or e-mails from us or our contractor. He avoided us for weeks while we were without a kitchen. When we finally called the Showplace regional distributor, Mark agreed to come to the house to take a look. On the appointed day, my contractor and I waited at the house only to have Mark call (as he was suppose to be arriving) and say he would be 40 mintues late -- I had only made a 45 minute window in my schedule assuming that such a long-in-coming meeting would occur on-time. Bottom line, Mark Miller exemplifies miserable customer service -- some of the worst avoidance behaviour I have ever seen. It's infuriating to have an expensive kitchen remodel not look like we imagined it, but, even worse, to be treated so poorly is inexcusable.
