Contacted Oftutt Plumbing via phone. Spoke with Maureen. I described the required work. She sent Walter over same day to check out the site. He was able to determine the 1st part of the job which resolved the problem without any work on his part other than looking under the bathroom sink. The second part of the job was to install an external bib on front of house. We went over the way the pipe run would travel. I asked if part of the run could go in a particular space. He said no. I said OK. See you tomorrow. Wally returns the following day (prolly a bad sign that they can schedule work so quickly) and I start asking him questions so that I can have my expectations met. Wally doesn't like questions. He's going to do the job as he sees fit and I'm there for the scenery. We resolve, at least from my standpoint, how he was going to run the pipe. I then asked, 'You're going to tap the cold water line, right?' Wally didn't like that and started in to me with 'Hey buddy, I have 25 years plumbing experience. We are going to do it my way. You don't need to be asking me these questions.' I corrected Wally and told him that in fact as the f'in homeowner I'll ask whatever f'in questions I want. Wally then was like no I don't think so. Rather than reach for my machete ( and do a L w/o P bid at Raiford...well at least Remy could visit me!) I told him the job is cancelled as he seems to have anger management issues. The owner Remy is subbing out work to someone who has no business doing residential, customer facing work. He may be Jesus' personal plumber but unfortunately his attitude sucks. After the initial shock wore off I reviewed the camera footage and had a laugh. 'Buddy let me tell you something! Hey buddy I tell you I have 25 years in plumbing! OK buddy?!!' Plumbers are an ornery lot. Avoid unless you're looking to throwdown.

We've used Offutt for years and they do great work, however, their prices gave become much higher than competitors.
