I had never heard of Smith Roofing but Consumer Checkbook rated him the highest and now I know why! I got 4 estimates and his was the best by a couple grand $. But that’s not the only reason I went with Smith Roofing. George, the owner, stayed in constant contact with me. No matter when I called, he answered or called me back within a few hours, and that was before I even signed the contract. He answered all my questions when I would read things off to him from other proposals that were more detailed, and confirmed that they used the same processes, so do not let fancy wordy contracts sway you. My “litmus” test was the skylights. I knew what brand was being quoted (all the quotes used the same one) and he is the only one that quoted skylights at a reasonable amount above cost whereas others were nearly triple the cost. I read every review before making my selection and Smith Roofing had an overwhelmingly positive response. They’re actually finishing up my roof as I type this, so I can’t yet vouch for cleanliness, but they did a nice job cleaning up yesterday before the job was even finished. They provided me with lots of pictures to show my inquisitive nature what was going on beneath the old roof and why things had to be changed out. I am very pleased with Smith Roofing and strongly recommend.
