I used the Washington Consumer’s CHECKBOOK and found George Smith Roofing to be highly rated. 703-590-8829. Smithroofing2@verizon.net. He won our business because he delivered about eight shingle samples to my wife after interviewing her about what she was looking for. Then he sent me about 10 addresses of recent roofs done so my wife could see what the “samples” really looked like when installed. Brilliant!

George Smith, of Smith Roofing, replaced our roof in November 2024. I cannot say enough good things about him, his workers, and the skills they bring to the job. George gave my husband and me a clear description of the work and the lvel of effort required to replace our roof. He also told us in clear and simple terms the type and cost of the materials he would use and introduced us to members of the team who would perform the work. The team members clearly knew George and each other and said that they had worked together for several years. Their business-like attitude and understandig of our requirements gave us confidence in their ability to get the work done correctly. In addition, George gave us a price that seemed quite reasonable. We accepted his offer and the matierals he recommended. His team worked methodically and quickly and left the grounds in excellent condition. Although we have had heavy wind, ice and rainstorms since Smith Roofing finished the project, the roof has weathered the storms without damage. My favorite thing about George is his straightforward approach to his proposals and his work.He has been an honest expert whose word I can trust. He and his team provide expert service at a reasonable cost and have followed up with us since to verify that we are satisfied with their work. I recommend Smith Roofing highlty.

Family type business that gave us quick and personal attention so we felt well cared for. Very impressed by George Smith making us feel like we had been lifelong friends. He has the personality of a nice next door neighbor. We are happy with both price and quality of our new roof!
