We are surrounded by Douglas fir trees - their needles are very different from pine needles, and really need a mesh-type gutter guard solution. But at the time we started our conversation, we were still researching. I contacted Gutter Helmet as they are Costco’s gutter guard service provider; I figured they would be a starting place. They are horrible. The first question I asked was can your product handle Doug fir needles. The rep couldn’t find an answer and said they’d call back. Well, about 5-6 phone calls later, all from different reps who knew nothing of my question - and were relatively dismissive of my concerns - we canceled the consultation, after doing a very deep dive into gutter guard solutions for our situation. They didn’t tell the rep, who showed up anyway. I’m sure Gutter Helmet could be a viable solution in the right circumstances, but even if we were candidates, I would not do business with a company so disorganized and dismissive of the customer’s concerns.
