IKEA gets some knocks for selling furniture some people consider disposable, and some of it is indeed built to a price. But there are many pieces that are real wood. And customers should buy keeping in mind the use the product will get. If your kids or grandkids will use a sofa as a trampoline, most lower-priced sofas won't last long. There also is the esthetic -- simple, clean, European. If you like that sort of thing, you'll like IKEA. If you don't, you won't find much there of interest. A good place for decent inexpensive furniture with some style to it. Pick right and you can save yourself a lot of money buying there.

I have no problems with Ikea, I always found good quality products at a good deal.

They do not staff adequately and there are are NEVER enough checkout lanes open -- I've had to wait upwards of an hour in line even at the very end of the night on a Sunday. It's also very frustrating that I have to wait in line twice if I want to buy any of the food market products on my way out, especially when I have to maneuver a furniture cart around the hot food line area because they didn't bother to staff the actual market check out. There is also very little assistance for or courtesy to disabled customers.
