I thought macys was going to be more expensive but they were competitive.

I was thrilled with my purchase and the service, even though I discovered that the file drawers were too shallow for standard file folders with tabs. I made due because I love my matching furniture. When one drawer glide broke, my experience changed. I had purchased the extended warranty, but the warranty company claimed my wood/wrought iron credenza wasn't covered because it was a plastic part within the glide. Macy's got them to reverse the decision, but the repair technician had clearly never seen a file cabinet. After he took pictures and made notes, they never contacted me again, though the online claim page said they were researching the part. A drawer glide from Amazon showed up on my doorstep, but there was no further comment from the warranty or repair companies, nor from Macy's. When I went in person, the sales staff was very supportive and made calls, but my follow-up emails were never answered. I ended up installing the drawer glide myself, which I would have done in any case, because I didn't trust the technician to get it done without punching the screw through the side of the credenza. Bottom line, if the furniture is what you want and the price is right, buy it, recognizing that it is made in Asia and may not last a lifetime. BUT NEVER BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY (Worry No More). And don't expect any communications from Macy's once they have your money.

Purchased bed, bed frame and head board in late December. Each item was delivered at different times months apart. Took until mid-April to get completed bed, bed frame and head board all delivered. Communication about delivery was difficult. We were told if we did not take delivery on day they said, we would loose item to someone else and it could take months to re-schedule. We could not know delivery time until the day before it was coming and had not say in what time would work for us. This was "white glove" delivery service! When delivery guys come they did their best but it was the process before their arrival that was messed up and not customer focused. Macy's is struggling and it's practice of fulfilling it's promises was put too shame with this purchase.
