The appliances I already owned are white. They only stocked stainless for immediate delivery. Had to wait 2 wks for white. Couldn't get model I wanted - not in stock , even at the manufacturer's warehouse. Had to settle for another brand.

I purchased a stainless steel refrigerator/freezer, wall oven, dishwasher and range hood from Lowe's, on sale, and had them delivered and installed. I had to reorder the wall oven because of size problems after the installer came to my home to measure the cabinet. The appliances were delivered on time, but there were problems with the dishwasher, which was delayed by the manufacturer, and the range hood, which was delivered to Lowe's damaged, twice. The refrigerator had to be replaced after a couple of weeks because of malfunctioning with the freezer. Lowe's was very accommodating and after sending a technician to attempt to repair the problem, immediately sent a replacement when it persisted. The installers were courteous and kept all appointments on time. My biggest complaint with Lowe's is the problem with reaching the department on the phone, which goes unanswered more often than not after the call is transferred. In the end, I was satisfied with the service, but aggravated by the time it took to reach someone who could deal with issues that arose. The store is also understaffed in the appliance department--often there is no one on the floor, or only one person, with several customers waiting. The store personnel went out of their way to resolve the issues that arose, once I was able to contact them, although it sometimes took repeated attempts to have someone return my calls.
