In the process of replacing my toilet, a square of marble in front of it was damaged. Other tile people weren’t interested in a small project like this; but Barry Brennan did the work for me. He was responsive, knowledgeable, & did a great job for a fair price!! You would never know that my +10 year old floor had been repaired. I highly recommend him.

Barry was called to tile a kitchen floor and made suggestions for some other updates. He had some good ideas and tried to sell us on some others. Then the nightmare began. The most expensive wall cabinet was damaged by the first installer and needed to be repaired. Our refrigerator did not fit under the wall cabinet after the floor tile was installed and Barry wanted to "trim" the bottom of the cabinet and door instead of raising it and adjusting the molding above it. His painter helper took 3 weeks to spackle any little defect and paint 3 walls and ceiling in family room and kitchen dining area and ceiling. Barry charged an additional $400 because he underestimated the job but did not offer any reduction for the scratches and gritty residue from the sandy grout in my new stainless steel sink when their buckets were washed. Barry told me "that's what happens with stainless. His plumber redid the configuration under the sink at a cost of $1,200 instead of just installing the faucet, disposal and hooking the dishwasher back up. He had to come back because we couldn't turn off the outside faucet without shutting off the cold water to the sink. When the plumber returned to fix it, we wound up with a leak we didn't have earlier from the main shut off valve to the house which he offered to fix for $500. We called another plumber to repair as we didn't trust him. The washing machine hoses were reversed and leaked after Barry "fixed" them. The $1575 charge for the electrician was before he even saw what he needed to do which turned out to be less than 3 hours total on 2 days. The "last straw" was finding 2 dents on the control panel on my stove which occured sometime during the renovation (possibly when Barry removed or reinstalled the microwave). Barry asked for model number 6 weeks ago and I never heard from him again.

Barry Brennan did a tile backsplash for our kitchen and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the result. He is not only a skilled craftsman, but also an artist. The project started out with my initial idea of what would look good, but after talking it over with Barry, I realized that there was a lot more thought that needed to go into it, like what size tile would look best in a small, dark kitchen, and how it should be arranged on the walls. The project took almost 2 days to complete, and the plan evolved as he went along. We ended up with a kitchen backsplash that was much more beautiful than what I had originally envisioned. I was most impressed with the careful thought and attention to detail he devoted to this small project. I highly recommend his services.
