The most important professional in getting a mortgage is not just the mortgage company but the individual loan officer, who is your liaison with the other professionals who will arrange your loan. I am a retired mortgage loan officer with decades of experience. This review is of Joe Callia, who was my assistant for several years at another mortgage company. Joe was a tireless and stellar advocate for our borrowers and did terrific work. He's without question the guy I'd call if I needed a loan to buy or refinance my home. Joe was conscientious, communicative, smart, friendly, empathetic, well-organized, proactive, and relentlessly attentive to the small but important details that forestall problems and delays.
