The big selling point at Madison House is the food, which is excellent. The staff is very friendly and caring, but it sometimes takes a while for requested services to be implemented. High turnover of care givers is an industry wide problem, and is no different here. But overall, this was the best place among the seven that I visited when placing my parent, and we are happy that we made this choice.

Dining room is a major attraction, but hiring & keeping staff is always challenging. My mother has lived there for many years and really enjoys it. New renovation added private dining rooms, theater, and nice touches all around.

It's a nice place but as a profit-making facility, lacking in things like having enough maintenance staff to repair/replace needed items within rooms. Unfortunately not all bathrooms are completely handicapped-accessible, which jeapordizes resident safety. Many at the support staff are great, and I'm always hoping they get paid enough, but I doubt they are. Not enough elevators - especially at mealtimes. Overall they are the best available on Bainbridge Island.
