I needed to change the amps on a circuit. I submitted a service request online on the Wilderness Electric website, including photos of my breaker box. The company responded within a couple hours and scheduled service the next day. The friendly electrician arrived on time and completed the service promptly, leaving the part that he had changed in a lower corner of the breaker box.

Selected "not recommended" only because despite Wilderness's high ratings, the company is of no value for Seattleites, because it doesn't serve the most populous city in King County. This isn't the first time I've come across this phenomenon. For various reasons some contractors who say they serve King County in fact exclude Seattle. When Consumers' Checkbook contacts companies for its Puget Sound ratings, it would be very helpful if they would ask those claiming to operate in King County whether they provide service in Seattle.
