We ordered LG Hi-Macs countertops for our bathrooms. Apparently the company Lowes uses for fabrication has a 25 sq ft minimum, so we ended up paying extra since our order was only 20 sq ft. The fabricator needed 2 weeks to schedule measurements, then another 2 weeks for fabrication and installation. The measurements they took turned out to be incorrect, nearly an inch too narrow at the back and an odd shape that was too wide at the front. The Lowes salesperson and the measurement person both told me that the countertops would be scribed to fit unevenness in the walls, but this was not done in the fabrication, the installers didn't know how, and it would not be fully possible anyway since the measurements were wrong and the countertops were too small in the back. So we ended up with gouges in the wall where they tried to force the countertops into place, and big caulk seams toward the back. Moreover, we had ordered 3" high backsplashes but for some reason the company made them 3.75", which interfered with an electrical outlet and mirror. It created headaches for us in finishing the project. This was a big mistake and we won't be going back to Lowes for this sort of thing again.
